the maximum armor level for warriors is 80AL, so please do share where you found a set with 85AL

there is a +20AL vs physical damage though.

The maximum AL armors (for warriors 80AL + 20AL vs Physical) can be found in Droknar's forge, Kaineng Center or the Consulate Docks (mission outpost). Prestige versions can be found in other outposts, just check wiki for the exact location of each armor crafter.

he's probably using the knight's/ascalon armor (or whatever the insignia version it is now). they are 85+15AL vs physical.

There's always Sentinel - 80AL + 20al vs. physical *and* elemental - the only drawback is that you need 13 Strength to gain the 20AL vs elemental.

I'm a fan of Sentinels (80+20 physical and 80+20 elemental if str = 13) myself. I generally will run str/tactics and enough in my weapon to meet the requirement. If you are running an 8 attack bar though, you might not want to.

runes can add loads of armor in different ways, like bonus when atacking or vs elemental, and i really dont remember the rest but you can really "buff up" with runes.

which you want depends if your runing or pvp, if you use enchants etc.

LoL, what?

The only armor I've seen over 80 normally was a long time ago when Dragon and Platemail armor had 90 and +10 vs elemental.
